3M Trizact™ 237AA knife sharpening belts use engineered micro-replicated abrasive pyramids to deliver an exceptionally consistent finish from start to finish. The self-renewing abrasive structure produces predictable cutting performance, runs cooler, and maintains a uniform scratch pattern throughout the life of the belt.
Ideal for edge refinement, scratch removal, intermediate finishing, and pre-polishing, Trizact™ belts are trusted by professional sharpeners and knife makers when a consistent finish is critical. Personally tested in our sharpening shop, they are our preferred choice for preparing an edge before final polishing and stropping.

I tried several 1x30 belt brands (purchased on Amazon) and they all ran poorly, bumping roughly as their joining seam passed over the front rollers. Then I purchased Trizact belts from CurryCuttlery and the seam bump issue almost completely disappeared. I compared a Trixact with the thumping Amazon belt. Both belts were 400 grit. The Trizact was slightly thinner (. 030") than the Amazon (. 040".) The Trizact is much more flexible than the Amazon belt. The photo shows this difference with the upper Trizact belt bending at a smaller radius compared to the lower Amazon belt. Both belts had a thickness a ross the splice seam of. 038" and both are spliced diagonally. The Trizact is bi-directional while the the Amazon belt has an arrow indication use ditection.
Maybe the greater pliancy and thinness of the Trizact are the reasons it runs so much more smoothly.
When I started using Cliff's Trizact and Cubitron belts, I kept my old belts as a standby... That wasted so much time and energy. Just buy the belts and throw your old ones away!
I love these belts. I use this 600 grit to help polish the edge after grinding. Gives great results in just a few passes. These have become my "go to" for great results.
I have attached a photo of a recent purchase. When I first received this package, my heart sank when I saw that the box had obviously been through the wringer in shipping. It contained a 8" 600 grit Scotchbright wheel. But to my very pleasant surprise, the wheel was double wrapped in heavy-duty bubble wrap and was in perfect condition. Thanks Cliff for taking the extra step to make sure my order was protected. I appreciate the effort. Thanks again.
I love these belts. I ordered both the Trizac and Cubitron. Very happy with both varieties. Will definitely be ordering more in the future. Thanks Cliff for the great service. Much appreciated.
The belts were amazing as always and Kerry gave top notch service like he always does. I've learned so much about knives and sharpening techniques. Thank you once again Kerry.
Not a better belt made for knife sharpening than the 3M Trizact. They can / do run a little warm so be mindful of speed and pressure however that is easily overcome. They last a good while longer than aluminum oxide or ceramic but are also a tad more costly yet still worth it in the end. Great product overall.
