Dang, I really wanted to love these belts! The construction is very heavy duty; the belts feel like they are much too heavy handed to be applying to a delicate Japanese edge. They are so solid and rough that when new, they almost feel like that they are creating small burrs rather than removing them. I like their feel when they are about halfway through their lifetime, but unfortunately, their overall lifespan is very short (2-3 workdays of professional sharpening). They also offgas a ton of material into the air which leaves a film of plastic-y fluff and debris around my bench. Overall I'm pretty bummed! They definitely do not polish - DEFINITELY not to a mirror polish, no matter what knives I'm using on them - and if I've used 3-5k whetstones before this belt, the belt will rough them up. Overall they feel much too heavyhanded and disintegrate very very quickly.

Cliff's belt progression is great. I still do edge trailing so I have a four step process instead of three. I use Cubitron 120, Trizact A 30, nylon abrasive (1000 grit) and felt wheel with compound. This is my base process and I will start isolating each one and seeing how to improve.

First Cubitron blet I have ever used after hearing all the positives that Cliff has explained about the positives of these belts. Very happy with the first 10 knives i have sharpened using the Cubitron 120 grit as my first step. Would highly recommend after using ceramic belts for years.

First leather belt on the Bucktool 1x30. Runs smooth as could be.No wiggle, play or flapping. It has an instant noticeable difference especially while using the blue compound from CCC for stropping knives. 10/10 product.

I’ve been using other lights for a while but I’m totally sold on these. They are brighter with 3 settings and the magnets are stronger. If you’re looking for exceptional lighting for your machines, look no further.
Got most of the scratches out. Some were pretty deep and couldn't be removed. Went with the satin finish to help hide those. Customer was happy with the results! So, am I!
Great product. Used the Curry Custom Cutlery Blade Bender for the first time and it worked exactly like I hoped. I was able to straighten and save a bent knife tip without it breaking off, which saved me from having to completely reprofile the blade. Simple tool, easy to control, and definitely something I’ll be keeping on the bench.
I have 2 of these now and love them. I use a digital inclinometer to set them 1/2 a degree apart and the results have been fantastic. Thanks for providing a great tool.

I use the 3M Trizact 600 grit belts in my sharpening business at farmers markets here in West Virginia, and they are a definite must in my process.
After I set the edge, these belts are my second phase for refining it and bringing out that hair-splitting 304 Sharp finish my customers expect. They cut smooth, stay consistent, and help me get a clean, sharp edge every time.
I use them on just about all of my sharpening work, and I honestly love them. If you’re serious about sharpening, the 3M Trizact 600 grit belt belongs in your setup.

I use Cubitron belts every week at farmers markets here in West Virginia for my sharpening business, 304 Sharp Mountain Blades. They are a huge part of my setup, especially for the first phase of my sharpening process when I’m setting the edge.
These belts cut fast, stay consistent, and save me a lot of time when customers are dropping off knives, scissors, axes, machetes, and other tools while they shop. I honestly wouldn’t be able to run my business as efficiently without them.
For anyone doing serious sharpening, especially mobile or high-volume work, Cubitron belts are worth it. They are perfect for getting that edge established before moving into the finishing stages. Highly recommend.
I got a fast response from cliff when I enquired about availability and the wheel sorted out the tracking straight away with the belt going forward and improved the tracking when I reverse the belt. Took me about one minute to install.
