Designed specifically for edge-leading sharpening applications.
Produces more consistent, repeatable sharpening results.
Compatibility
Designed for closed-frame 1x30 belt grinders and other grinders with a compatible 1-inch-wide platen that allows the guide to slide into position.
Not compatible with Vevor® or Tookler® open-frame 1x30 belt grinders.
Optimized for use with standard-thickness abrasive belts. Leather, felt, Scotch-Brite™, and other thick non-woven or specialty belts are generally not recommended, as they may reduce guide clearance and affect sharpening angles.
I have 2 of these now and love them. I use a digital inclinometer to set them 1/2 a degree apart and the results have been fantastic. Thanks for providing a great tool.
The guide works great. I use it on my Bucktool 1x30 machine (which I purchased after you reviewed it in one of your videos). Getting great, consistent results. Thanks!
It's really good. The only improvements that could be made would make the cost go up substantially. But it accommodates about all kitchen knives and most pocket knives. The only knife I own that will not ji e with this guide are knives like a cold steel SRK where the handle is right up almost on the edge. If it had a normal sized riccaaso there would be no issue. So it's really good. Unlike the bucktool guide where it can only accommodate about 40 percent of knives.... If that. Even with modifications the Custom Cutlery is still a lot better. If I could change anything, I would delete the 90 degree bent boarder edges and move them behind the belt and use extended hardware, but then we're talking 100 dollars or more to make something overly complicated just to sharpen an oddball knife that you can just use a whetstone or other method on. Whatever, it's really good. A must have for any 1x30 belt grinder.
The CCC angle guide is very y comfortable and easy to use. It has a cutaway that assists with larger bolsters on knives. Perfect for kitchen knives and for flip open pocket knives.
Cliff’s angle guides are not only the original cutaway design they are exceptional for edge leading in belt sanders. Very reasonable pricing and they are specifically purposed for clearance and use with knives. No other (and I’ve tried them all) angle guide gives you this much value for your budget.
